Peugeot meddelar nu att de från och med nästa år kommer att återvända till Dakar-rallyt igen efter ett uppehåll på hela 25 år. Och deras vapen är en rallypreppad version av modellen 2008.

Bakom ratten kommer Carlos Sainz att sitta och som andreförare motorcykelföraren Cyril Despres. Peugeots vd, Maxime Picat, säger följande:

"Our aim is to win the Dakar in 2015. We are delighted to be returning because it’s an event which enjoys extensive coverage globally. It is well known in Europe, as well as in such important markets as South America and China. It takes place in South America, with much of the action in Argentina where Peugeot has traditionally enjoyed a strong foothold."
