Minns ni Fyre Festival från 2017? Det var en väldigt upphaussad musikfestival som lovade mycket men levererade lite. Det blev katastrof och Billy McFarland som låg bakom det hela dömdes till fängelse. Men skam den som ger sig för det - våren 2023 annonserades det att en andra omgång av festivalen skulle bli av. Senare samma höst släpptes biljetterna och tanken var att det hela skulle gå av stapeln mellan den 30 maj och 2 juni i år. Platsen är Playa del Carmen i Mexiko men nu får vi reda på att hela rasket har ställts in. Eller det är i alla fall framflyttat till ett ännu icke bestämt datum. Anledningen sägs vara för att man måste hitta en ny plats att vara på, då stället man hade "bokat" tydligen inte alls ville känna vid sig att det skulle arrangeras någon festival där. Stökigt - som väntat.

"The municipal government of Playa del Carmen, informs that no event with that name will be held in our city. After a responsible review of the situation, it was confirmed that there is no registration, planning or conditions that indicate the realization of such an event in the municipality. This municipal government is acting with responsibility and commitment, always with the priority placed on public order, security and family coexistence. We reiterate that any official information will be communicated directly and in a timely manner through the corresponding channels."

"The event has been postponed and a new date will be announced. We have issued you a refund. Once the new date is announced, at that time, you can repurchase if it works for your schedule."
