Skådespelaren Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit) kommer att regidebutera med en långfilmsversion av George Orwells klassiker Djurfarmen. I en intervju med Screendaily berättade han att produktionen redan har startat och att filmandet kommer att börja i mitten på nästa år.

Angående hur han planerar att ta sig an den klassiska, politiska historien sade han såhär:

"What we’re trying to do is fairly unique. It’s going to be entirely performance captured, so rather than photographing real animals and showing them with talking mouths, it will all be generated by the interaction between the actors playing those roles…the physicality and facial expressions of all the animals will come directly from actors’ performances."

Vilka som kommer att spela i filmen är ännu inte officiellt, men enligt Serkis är det ett toppengäng.
