LiliLite: The Ultimate Bedside Lamp for Readers
Save space, stores numerous books and easily remember where you left off.

Amsterdam, Netherlands – June 16, 2015 – LiliLite combines a bookshelf, reading light and bookmark into one smart product. Sleekly designed, the LiliLite utilizes the peak of the shelving unit not only as a bookmark, but also includes a sensor that automatically turns on the lamp located underneath the peak. After you finish reading and place the book back on the peak, it doubles as a bookmark. The sensor now automatically switches off the light again.?

LiliLite was invented by Dutch designer Thijs Smeets and his book-loving girlfriend Liedewij. She was always adjusting the bed lamp to get better lighting and piling her books on top of her nightstand and the floor. Together they came up with the ultimate product for reading in bed. LiliLite helps to keep the bedroom clutter free, stores a stash of books within reach and makes reading in bed extra comfortable by providing light from a perfect angle.

Made from plywood with a beautiful American oak veneer, the design is simple, elegant and fits every interior style. The power cord is cotton braided and has a manual switch as well. LiliLite uses a LED light bulb for maximum energy efficiency.

Thijs and Liedewij produced the LiliLite in small numbers in the past and got an overwhelming response from people all over the world. They could no longer meet the demands after their product went viral. To make the move into mass production they decided to start a crowdfunding campaign at Kickstarter.

A 30 day crowdfunding campaign to fund $70,000 US dollars for the production of LiliLite will be launched on Kickstarter on June 16, 2015 with a super early bird deal of $129 (including shipping within North America and European Union), originally retailing at $170 + shipping.
