I Lock It är ett nytt helautomatiskt lås för din cykel. Låset kopplas ihop med din smartphone via blåtand och sedan öppnar och låser du med mobilen. Men du behöver inte göra något förutom att ha Bluetooth aktiverat, när du har parkerat och går iväg låser sig låset och vice versa. Du behöver alltså inte fundera mer på om du kom ihåg att låsa, eller vart du har lagt nyckeln.

Låset skruvas fast i ramen vid bakhjulet och ska inte gå att få bort så länge det är i låst läge. Om någon försöker sno din cykel börjar ett larm att tjuta och ett meddelande skickas till ägaren. Batteriet i dosan håller i sex månader och kan laddas upp via en dynamo om man har en sådan på cykeln, annars är det micro-USB som gäller.

I Lock It ska börja säljas nu under hösten men vad det då kommer att kosta är oklart för tillfället.

Getting Sunday morning buns, running quick errands or a trip into town – cycling is healthy and good for the environment. The bicycle is utterly useful. With I LOCK IT the startup haveltec hived by the University of Applied Sciences Brandenburg (FHB) created a new bike lock, which offers security and great comfort for hobby cyclists. I LOCK IT ensures, that your own bike is not one of the many stolen bicycles every year. For the development of I LOCK IT haveltec received a founder stipend from the European Union. I LOCK IT is fixed to the bicycle frame and used with a smartphone or key fob. As soon as the owner leaves his bicycle the lock automatically locks and as soon as the owner returns to his bicycle it unlocks again. Fully automatic, without searching for the key or the time consuming handling of a bulky bike lock. The components of the lock make sure it reaches a high level of safety. The body consists of impact and UV resistant plastic material. The locking bolt and an integrated security frame are made of hardened stainless steel. Additionally, I LOCK IT has an integrated alarm system which will set off a loud alarm signal if a thieve tries to move or tampers with the locked bike. In case of an alarm the bike owner will also receive a notification to his smartphone so he can react, before the thieve can get away with the bike. At times when even higher security is needed I LOCK IT offers the possibility to easily plug in an additional strong cable to lock the bike for example with a bicycle rack or a tree. The lock can be connected with the hub dynamo or the e-bike energy system and will then be recharged while riding, so it never runs out of energy. Without connection the integrated battery will last for a minimum of 6 months and can easily be recharged via a micro USB connection. Anybody who does not use his bicycle just for himself can also use this innovative bike lock to easily allow his friends to go for a ride: With the app the owner can easily send out a digital key to his friend, so the bike can be used without having to share a physical key.
