Brädor med The Doors-tema

Gruppen The Doors släppte sitt första album 1967 och förändrade därmed populärkulturen med sin musik. Bandets psykadeliska rockmusik passade bra in på 60-talet och fick många ungdomar att gå mot strömmen och bli mer rebelliska. I samma veva växte skateboard-kulturen och därför känns det självklart att ett par brädor ska få sig ett The Doors-tema.

Det är Dusters California som nu visar upp två stycken skateboards i samarbete med bandet. En cruiser och en longboard och bägge pryds med bandets frontman, Jim Morrison. The Doors manager Jeff Jampol säger följande:

"The Doors were born out of the streets of Venice and Los Angeles, wedded to the counterculture, embracing of art, theater, politics, self-expression and – above all – freedom. Alternative lifestyles – whether skateboarders, surfers, poets, or environmentalists – all embrace the same principles found in The Doors, their music, and their words. In the same way, we embrace the idea of partnering with a company like Dusters to help expand different lifestyles, passions, ways of thinking/living, and the tools with which to do just that. I also happen to think they’re really cool."

Dusters California x The Doors Skateboard Collaboration

1967 släpptes The Doors debutalbum och förändrade populärkulturen.
Det genre-definierande bandet och deras musik bidrog till att förvandla en hel ungdomsgeneration och inleda den rebelliska motkultur som kom att definiera det sena 60-talet. The Doors fångade och utmanade sin publik med sin blandning av psykedelisk rock, jazz, blues och poesi.

Bara år senare skulle samma publik hitta nya sätt att uttrycksätt sig, bland annat genom skateboard, som skulle kom att få ett ordentligt uppsving på grund av införandet av de nya uretan hjulen.

För att hylla de täta kopplingarna mellan skateboard och musik, grundat i kreativiteten från 60-70 talets motkultur & arvet från de band som bidrog till att skapa den första gnistan, presenterar Dusters California två skateboards i samarbete med the Doors. De två brädorna är en cruiser och en longboard, båda i retro design kombinerat med högkvalitetsbrädor. Grafiken i sin tur är två ikoniska foton av The Doors frontman Jim Morrison.
